Book Haul

I love to read a good book and recently I have just sorted out my book collection so I know exactly what I have and which books I can read next. I recently did some book shopping on Amazon as the prices are reduced a considerable amount, compared to in the shops. Before I bought any of the books, I did research on them and read up on reviews and managed to find some awesome books that I cannot wait to start reading. I love holding a book compared to reading it on a kindle, however physical books are obviously a lot bulkier and heavier to travel with, but oh well.
I'm one of those people that will watch a film and then realise that it was originally a book, so I love to buy a book once I have watched the film, just to see how it compares. Plus books make more sense to me as they tell me more, because I get confused very easily.

The first book I bought was 'The Fault In Our Stars'. I read this last summer but I borrowed the book from someone, so I felt like I needed my own copy, plus my sister wanted to read it as well. I love this book and it is incredible and I am sure most people have heard about it as it is one of the most talked about books plus the film has just been released and I really want to go and see that. The quote on the front of this book is by Markus Zusak and reads: 'You laugh, you cry, and then you come back for more', which is completely and utterly true. I would really recommend this book. Author: John Green

The next book I purchased was also a book that I read last year: 'The Evolution Of Mara Dyer'. This is the second book in the trilogy and it is amazing!! The third book isn't coming out until like later this year or even next year, I don't even know, but the first and second books are incredible. I could not put them down and I completely fell in love with Noah Shaw, one of the main characters in the book. This series was recommended to me by one of my classmates at school and she let me borrow this book from her, so I thought it was time I bought my own. This is a 'darkly funny, deliciously creepy, and genuinely thoughtful' book (quote by Veronica Roth) and I couldn't agree more. I would definitely recommend this series of books. Author: Michelle Hodkin

This next was, I was super excited about as I read Giovanna Fletcher's 'Billy And Me' last year and loved it and this year she brought out 'You're The One that I want' and it is such a beautiful love story and I loved all the characters and I love how it is written from two of the characters point of view. The artwork for this book is so gorgeous and I love the book so much, I would definitely recommend this book as it bought a tear to my eye, which is rare for me. Author: Giovanna Fletcher

I was watching a YouTube video, about books, you know, as you do and it seems that many people have been talking about the book 'Across The Universe'. This is a science-fiction novel and the blurb is so intriguing. She basically wakes up 50 years before she has to and I guess is parted from her parent forever, but it is a love story as well. I haven't read this yet, so I will let you know how that goes. Author: Beth Revis

I absolutely loved the film 'The Woman In Black' and even though I have seen it so many times, I still hide behind a cushion or scream at the TV (DO NOT watch this film alone). Truth is, I didn't actually know this was a book, so I thought I'd give it a go. I am excited to read this book as the Daily Express say that it is 'Heartstoppingly Chilling' and I don't quite know how I feel about that but we shall see. Author: Susan Hill

The first time I watched 'The Great Gatsby' I fell asleep, so I decided to watch it again, and I loved it so much. I love that it is funny and sad and that it was set in the 1920s as it all looks super glamorous. This book is only 115 pages long and I don't know why, but I expected it to be really long, but I'm not complaining. When I got this book, I opened it up and oh my goodness, it looks like it is going to be the hardest book to read, but as I have seen the movie, I already know the plot, so I am hoping this will help. Although I haven't read this yet, from the first lines in the book, I can already tell that it is going to be pretty much the same as the film as the words were used script of the movie. I think I will leave this book for a long journey as I don't think I am ready to tackle it just yet. Author: F. Scott Fitzgerald

Whilst I was book shopping, I thought I may as well pick up 'The Hobbit' as I have been wanting to read this for the longest time. My Dad was clearing out all his books last year and he got rid of this one without asking me, so I finally bought it again, yayyy!! I have only seen film one of 'The Hobbit' as I fell asleep in the second one, but I have watched 'The Lord of the Rings' countless times, so I am not new to the series. I need to find out if we have the other 3 books as I would love to read them all. I am super excited to start reading this book. Author: J.R.R. Tolkien

I was watching a book haul on YouTube, because I got really bored, and I saw someone taking about a book called 'Love Letters to the Dead' and the title is self explanatory really. I was just quire intrigued by the concept of this book, so I thought I'd buy it. Author: Ava Dellaira

The next three books are part of a 5 book series called 'The Lunar Chronicles' and they are a twist on well known fairy tales. The first book is 'Cinder', a twist on 'Cinderella'. The second book is 'Scarlet', a twist on 'Little Red Riding Hood' and the third book is 'Cress', a twist on 'Rapunzel'. On the back of each book it states that 'This is not the fairy tale you remember. But it's one you won't forget' and this sounds so exciting. Author: Marissa Meyer

I literally don't know where to start and which book I should read first. I also really want to buy the collection of 'The Mortal Instruments' and 'Ender's Game' - (that film was incredible) and so many more books, but I will start reading these and then buy some more.
I will post reviews on books that I really love and enjoy, so watch out for them!
