Bourjois Colour Boost Lipstick Review

I have no idea when this product became available to buy in the UK (maybe last year some time?), but I have only just discovered them and I love them so much. Bourjois is one of the make up brands I really want to buy more products from as I hear so many people rave about them. The Colour Boost Lipsticks are the first products I have bought from Bourjois and they claim to be waterproof with SPF 15 which is always a good claim if you are planning a holiday in a hotter country than England. They are basically a glossy finish lipstick and it also claims to give you a 'bare lip sensation' and I have to disagree with this because it is still a gloss so if you gave long hair like me and it's windy, as per usual in the UK, then your hair can get stuck to your lips. Attractive, I know.
This is a mixture between a lipstick and a lip gloss which is awesome as they are so easy to apply, with a crayon look, and give you the best of both worlds with the lip products. It is a hydrating product and on the website it says that it lasts for 10 hours (comfort and hydration), which isn't entirely true. The lasting power is quite good for a lipstick/gloss combination product but you would have to re apply after a few hours, like the same with any other lip product.
I am not sure how many colours there are, but in Boots there are 6, in Superdrug there are 4 and on the Bourjois website there are 5 I believe, currently anyway. The colours are super for Spring and Summer and I would definitely recommend them as they are quite subtle as well as bold? That doesn't make any sense, but if you see them you may understand. I have the colours 'Orange Punch' number 03 which is an amazing orange colour and 'Peach On The Beach' number 04 which is such a beautiful baby pink colour. Plus that name is so adorable and just grabs you in even more!
The packaging is great as the colour on the outside is pretty much the colour of the product which is helpful, especially if you are in a rush. The silver bar at the bottom is where you twist it to get more product to the top, just in case you were wondering.
For £7.99 you can't really go wrong with these as they are amazing quality; a colour to suit every occasion and I love the fact that they aren't matte and they don't show up any rough parts on your lips,so if you suffer with dry lips, they are hydrating which will come in very useful.
If you haven't already got one of these then I suggest you go out and grab one or two or all of them because they are awesome and they look pretty and it's a lipstick/lipgloss combination!   Fantabulous!! :)

My poochy turned 2 on Thursday and I just thought I would talk about him because he is just adorable. He is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a Bichon Frieze which means he is all fluffy like a marshmallow!! We have had 2 dogs in the past, Herbie sadly passed away 7 years ago and Snowy we had to put to sleep just over a year ago. I will do a blog post on those two soon. Me and my sisters have always bugged our parents about getting a dog and after about 4 yearsish of asking, they finally gave in! Yay! We found him on gumtree and I believe he had 3 sisters and 3 brothers and for me it wasn't that hard to choose, out of them, which one I wanted. He is mainly white, but he has brown patches on his back and has brown ears. To be honest he acts like a cat/lion and he is just overall a very stupid, but adorable dog!
When we got him I was on year 11 study leave and he was such a pain! He ripped the curtains to shreds, weed and pooped on the floor, so me being the lucky one had to clean that all up. It literally took us ages to toilet train him, but thankfully he is all good now. He still steals shoes and nicks things from peoples bags, the other day he stole a fiver from Zoe's handbag ... cheeky puppy! If you drop anything, it automatically becomes his. Me and Natalie once chased him around the garden for ages because he stole some tin foil and it was the funniest thing to witness!

His worst habit is barking for absolutely no reason at all. I can be sat there minding my own business and he will start barking and you'll play with him and nothing is ever good enough. I think he just likes the attention. He has a weird phobia of kids, bikes, buses, tractors, men, the outside world, pretty much everything, so don't take it personally if he hides from you or pees on your foot. He has done that a lot to me before and I don't really know why, but oh well, we can get past that.
He is such a baby and he doesn't care if you pick him up and cuddle him, he will happily trample all over you and use you as a window ledge to see what is happening outside and bark some more! As we speak he is just growling at me, but he is not a scary dog, he is just a pathetic whimp who is scared of everything!
He has got so many toys, which he has pretty much torn to pieces. He loves his blankets and his two beds. He has one in the kitchen and one at the top of the stairs, which is more like a house and I just had to buy it. We do have a gate at the top of the stairs so he isn't allowed in our rooms, but if someone (Natalie) leaves it open, he will sometimes waddle through the gate to see us.

He does this weird waddling thing with his butt when he gets all nervous and shy and he like tucks his tail under his butt and it wags and he will like waddle over to you and surrender. I personally think he is very protective of all of us, but maybe too over protective!
He has a weird addiction to tea, cheese, bananas and alcohol (we don't let him drink it of course, but he knows when you have it in your hand).
He has been know to take a few selfies in the past.

Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' Foundation Review

I am a big fan of Rimmel London make up, as some may know from my previous blog posts. One of my favourite products is a new discovery for me and it is their 'Wake Me Up' foundation. I don't know how I never heard of this until recently, but it is so much better than the foundation I was using before. I have only ever really used mousse foundations, so to now use a liquid foundation makes such a big difference. I don't actually know if other people can see a difference, but it just feels so much lighter on my skin and I loveeee it! You can see the product on Rimmel's website and you can buy it at Boots or Superdrug or any drugstore that holds Rimmel's products.
This foundation comes in 7 shades I believe and you can check those out on the websites, because they all have different ones available to buy. I have the colour Ivory, number 100, which is one of the lighter colours and I think it is a pretty good match to my skin. It claims to be 'Rimmel's first liquid foundation that instantly reawakens skin with a healthy, radiant glow' and I have to admit that I have never used any of their foundations before, but it definitely makes my skin look so much more healthy than before and doesn't look cakey at all. I completely agree that it gives a more flawless, natural look and because of the anti-fatigue effect it appears more glowy. Some people have an issue with the fact that this foundation seems to have sparkly parts in it, but I personally love this as my skin is naturally quite dull. And oh my goodness, this actually smells amazing and I can't even describe what it smells like, but it is quite fresh and fruity.
I would say that my skin type is normal to combination, which means my t-zone is the part of my face which can look it's worst on bad days. This foundation leaves my skin feeling soft and it feels more like putting moisturiser on my face rather than a foundation, because it blends so well and so evenly. it literally feels so comfortable to wear and would recommend so much more than a mousse foundation. I would say that this foundation can work for any skin type, so there is no excuse not to own it.
This foundation has SPF15 in it's formula which is great for the Spring/Summer months. Now I do live in England which means the weather is so unpredictable, but it is better to have some protection on my face rather than using nothing at all. This also means that if I need sun cream on my face, I can use less because of this Foundations formula.
My skin is actually really sensitive and I am always so sceptical about trying new products. I have had rashes on my eyelids before, which is so painful, but since I have started using this product my skin looks so much better and I have had less breakouts. Me and my younger sister both have freckles on our cheeks, and personally this covers them up so much better than anything I have used before. If anyone knows what my skin looks like without make up (scary territory *gasp face*), this foundation literally hides most of my imperfections and the redness, so if anyone has any redness this is so amazing at covering it.
I persuaded my younger sister to get this foundation and since she has used it she said that she has got many compliments on how her skin looks. It is not a heavy coverage, but is heavy enough for my liking. This is perfect for my skin as I have toned down my make up a lot since Christmas.
This foundation will look at it's best when you use a buffing brush to blend it in with and it will make your skin feel and look so much more refreshed. I have probably said before that I use my Sigma dupe buffing brush to blend mine it and it works a treat.
You can't miss this on the shelf because the packaging is so cute and vibrant with a bright orange lid and it looks awesome. It has got a pump which makes life so much easier. With it being in glass, it makes it seem like a more high end, fancy foundation, which is great for me because I certainly cannot afford to splash out on NARS or M.A.C or any high end product.
I just love this foundation so much and would literally recommend it to everyone and anyone! For only £8.99 you cannot go wrong as it is such a brilliant product and is an amazing drugstore foundation! I cannot fault this foundation at all!

I was very sceptical about buying make up brushes form eBay or amazon, but I really couldn't afford to buy any Sigma, Zoeva or Real Techniques brushes.
Under £15 for 10 brushes isn't bad at all, so I took the risk and bought 2 sets of dupe brushes from eBay. The first set of brushes I bought were dupes of the Sigma brushes and I haven't got any brushes to compare these with, but I have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they are absolutely amazing quality for their price. There were 5 face brushes and 5 eye brushes in this collection and altogether they came in at under £15, which is incredible. They are all so soft and they have only shed one or two hairs, but all brushes do! I have washed them a couple of times as well and they wash really well an go back to their original shape with no problem what so ever. The only downside is they take an absolute age to dry. I washed them on Sunday morning and by Monday morning the face brushes were still a little damp, but they were still useable. I am not overly bothered by this at all, as long as they do their job to make me look a bit more presentable it's all cool! My favourite face brush is the foundation buffing brush as it applies my foundation evenly and is just so easy to use and really sets my foundation into place. You can get these brushes all over eBay and there are some that are more or less expensive, but I wanted mine to be form England so they would arrive quicker and they came within like 2 days of me ordering them, yayyy!! There was an option id either a silver or gold neck and I chose gold because I thought they would go best in my room? Yeah weird reason right, but whatever. I was half expecting them to break, especially because I have the worst luck and usually buy dodgy products, but they actually haven't been ruined...YET!
The other dupe brushes I bought from a different seller were the real techniques ones. The real ones aren't even that expensive, but I did buy 5 face brushes for £10ish and that is the cost of just one real techniques brush. I bought these in the blue colour as I know the real ones come in purple, gold and pink, so blue would be the best way to show that they are dupes. The seller did sell them in pink and gold though. I ma also really impressed with this set as they are soft and was really well. These brushes didn't take as long to dry as the other set. My favourite brush in this set is the pointy domed one (great description, I know), but I use this for blending in my concealer and it does a lovely job, I must say!  These brushes haven't really shed at all, I did give the foundation one to my younger sister (which is standing solo in the picture), Natalie, as I didn't need two and she loves the brush.
In a previous post I stated that I have only been getting into make up for the past three years and I was never very wise about anything and I just did whatever looked okay at the time. But now I actually have to try to look presentable, and I do try and using brushes is the best way to get a flawless look. I only used to use a mousse foundation and had a separate brush for that, but since I have gotten into using liquid foundations, these brushes are just awesomeeee!

I would never have bought these brushes if I didn't research them first and I read reviews on the internet and watched YouTube videos first before I did anything. I am really happy with both sets of brushes and I would really recommend these to anyone who is starting out with make up or just cant afford the real brushes, because I have heard these are just as good quality and I couldn't fault them at all!  
I did wash the brushes yesterday, but forgot to take pictures of them clean, which is why some of them have make up on, oops!
