An Afternnon with my Grandad

So this is a spontaneous post! Seeing as I can drive now and my Grandad lives like a 10 minute drive away, I thought I'd pop in and see him. Plus, he loves the company. We chatted about life and he fed Barney waaaay too many treats. I swear, he's going to make my dog fat. *insert gasp face*.
We then went and sat in the garden and he fed his fish and I screamed like a pathetic girl every time a bug came near me. He obviously found this entertaining! I just don't understand bugs, why can't they just leave me alone?!
My Grandad is 91 years old, so we just sat on the bench and watched the fish swim around the pond, whilst wasps and other flies flew at me ... so peaceful.  Although we did just chill and listen to the birds tweeting away.

Barney barks at absolutely everything, and he chased birds away and ran after bees and rolled around in the grass and dirt...why, just why??!

He's so nosey, the cheeky little pooch!

My older sister and her boyfriend then turned up and we all just had a chat and ate some cake, as you do and then me being me, I nosed around some of my Grandads' drawers and found Uno, but we couldn't remember how to play. I then found some normal playing cards and we goggled card games. Zoe remembered that we used to play a game called 'go fish' when we were younger, so we played that. We kept this game going for about 2 hours-ish. My Grandad is old, so obviously his memory isn't the best... I won't lie to you, he cheated, but we all just found it funny!
It was such a lovely afternoon and a great way to spend my day off!! I am now super hungry and really want pizza! Hope you have an awesome rest of the week!! xx

Naked 3 Palette Review

(Sorry that you can't see the shade Strange, it is on the far left, but it is a very white, matte colour)

I realise probably everyone has reviewed and fallen in love with this palette, but I only bought mine a couple months ago. This was my very first higher end purchase and I am so glad I did because I have been reaching for this palette ever since I bought it. It has matte and pearly/metallic shades so is very versatile. I bought mine from feelunique.com and at the time there was 15% off any purchase. This palette retails for £37.00, but I managed to get mine for under £32, which I thought was pretty reasonable.
There are 12 shades in this palette, which are all so luxurious, and if I am being honest, I never thought I would love this palette as much as I do because all of the colours are really neutral and pinky. Before I had this palette, I always used to go for a smokey eye, which wasn't always appropriate. What's great about this palette is that there are a few darker colours which can take a daytime make up into a night time make up look.
The colours that I find myself using most are:
  • Strange - I use this to highlight the inner corners of my eyes as I have panda eyes (dark circles)
  • Dust - This is such a pretty, dusty pink colour which I use if I want a really light make up look. I use this mainly on the inner part of me eye to make myself look more awake.
  • Burnout - I have only really started to use this over the lid of my eye, especially for work and I will pair that with Dust or Trick.
  • Trick -This is such a gorgeous bronze/orange toned colour and I love wearing this one and it is by far my favourite shadow from the palette. I will pair this with Liar and use it on the inner part of my eye. It is a great colour for Summer and because it is a pearly shadow it will sparkle in the sunlight.
  • Liar - I tend to use this all over my eye lid on days where I feel like I want more of a smokier look. It isn't too intense, but is literally my perfect eyeshadow colour.
My eyes are a green/hazel colour, so pinks and oranges are really going to make my eye colour pop and that is what I love so much about this palette.

I am really intrigued by Blackheart because when I first saw it I thought it was just a really dark brown, but there are actually red sparkles in the shadow which is probably going to look gorgeous. (The camera didn't really pick that up at all though).
I don't use the mirror on this palette and I don't really know why because it is huge.
I tend to use just a regular shadow brush to put the eyeshadow over my lid and then to blend I use the Zoeva 224 and 227. To then highlight the inner corner of my eye I use the Zoeva 237.
I love this palette so much and it is what I reach for the most. There are dupes out there for a lot less money, but if it is quality you want then the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is what I recommend to you. xx

Being Organised

I like to think I am a very organised person, except for the fact that I am really not. So I decided to buy myself a notebook because I am always having ideas of what to write about next and I always end up forgetting them or writing them in my phone.
I heard about a shop called Blott and when I went to Oxford on Saturday I saw this shop and literally ran to it because it looked really cute. It is the most amazing stationary shop and has collections of colours, so of course I went to the green section first. I knew I wanted a notebook, so I got a simple, green, A5 one so it can fit in any of my bags and take it with me anywhere. This shop was full of so may rubbers, like any shape or thing you can imagine, it was there, so I bought a couple of my favourites. But yeah, this is a must see stationary shop and you can see it all online as well...I loved it.

I only just really organised my dressing table and I love how it looks at the moment. I have my lipsticks and other make up on display in some acrylic storage that I found in TK Maxx. There are vintage quotes hung either side of my mirror, which has cute fairy lights so it looks cute in the evening. It makes getting ready in the morning super relaxing and it suits me.

I am going to buy myself a camera, because I would really love one of my own instead of borrowing my Mum's or Zoe's all the time. Especially because I want to blog a lot more and take better pictures. So any suggestions of good cameras to buy would be great.
I really want to get into blogging a lot more so I have decided that there will definitely be a new blog every Monday and Tuesday, maybe one on Saturday and if I ever feel like it there could be one during the week, but my job makes me really sleepy, so possibly not. #waitresslife You can always follow me on Twitter or Instagram for blog updates as well. :)

Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review

I did a post a while back where I showed you what I ordered from 'feel unique' and I thought it was about time that I did a review on Tanya Burr's lip glosses. I bought 3 colours:
'Picnic In the Park' is much more of a glossy gloss (does that make sense?). It isn't as opaque as the other two as it has a different formula. It has got glitters in it, which is what makes it more glossy. It is such a pretty pink colour and will suit any skin tone. It is perfect for the summer and is a great accessory for any outfit, whether it's quite simple or a bit more out there. It is just the perfect pink colour and can make any girl feel so much more girly. It isn't sticky at all, but I have long hair, so in the wind my hair gets stuck to my lips...attractive, I know! The name of this lip gloss is so adorable and makes it sound perfect for the summer and having picnics and it's just cute.

'Just Peachy' is such a pretty coral, peachy colour, like the name suggests I guess. It is by far my favourite colour and I have worn it so much. It is one of those colours that could wash some skin tones out, but with my skin tone it is okay. I'm not pale and I'm not tanned, so I am sort of in the middle. This has more of a thicker consistency and is much more opaque than 'Picnic In the Park' and it doesn't have any glitter in it. It is quite a neutral, simple and chic colour and I adore it.

'Afternoon Tea' is quite a nude colour, but a darker nude. I think that I will wear this a lot more in the Autumn as it is not quite a summery colour. Again this is a lot thicker in consistency and is opaque. I love the name of this one as it is very British and I am a waitress so this name just stuck out to me.

The applicator is a doe foot one which makes it so much easier to apply the lip gloss and isn't harsh on the lips at all.

I love the smell of all these lip glosses as they smell really fruity and fresh and it makes them more appealing. I cannot recommend these enough and I would love to buy more and try out different colours.
You get 8ml of product, which is quite a lot and at £6.99, they are so affordable which is great because the quality of the product and the colour pay off is amazing.
The packaging is my favourite as it is so cute as well as professional. As I ordered mine online, it came in a cardboard package with Tanya herself on it. It all ties in with her YouTube channel and her blog with the heart logo, which makes it even cuter. I am a sucker for all things cute!!
