I went Make-Up Shopping
It was my day off work from the busy Easter Weekend that we had at the Manor so I persuaded my Mum and my sister to go shopping. I did need to go to Boots to get a concealer as mine was running out, but I bought a little more than I needed because there was a 3 for 2 offer on all make up and beauty and I just couldn't resist?! It wasn't too bad because my Mum bought a mascara with the offer because I had to stop myself at one point, so I didn't buy too much, but I probably didn't need all of it, but hey-ho...That probably didn't make any sense, but on we go...
The first thing I bought was the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in the shade 'Sugar Frosting' number 005 and this is such a pretty, shimmery, natural colour and I love the name. It is a very pale, glittery pink colour and it is super cute. I have been wanting one of these for ages as I have heard so much about them and they look really cute. They are basically a buttery balm with a shiny colour pay off and are supposed to leave your lips hydrated. I am really excited to try this out and will write a review on it soon. These are £7.99 each which is a normal price for a drugstore lipstick.
The next thing I picked up was what I went in for which was a concealer and it was the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and I bought mine in the shade cool medium, in number 2 and this matches my skin tone the best. It claims to last 16 hours and this is a big claim, but it definitely hides any blemishes I have and lasts throughout the whole day. It is also great at hiding the dark circles under my eyes, so I would definitely recommend this. It is only £4.19 and this is such a great price for a drugstore concealer that actually works.
I then went over to the Bourjois section and managed to pick up the last Bronzing Powder in shade 51. I don't speak French, so I literally have no idea what any of the writing on this product means, but it looks like chocolate and so many people rave about it and I just wanted it, so I got it. It was only £6.99 and it looks more brown than the one I am currently using from Rimmel which has more of an orange undertone. It says that it will give an 'immediate boost to your complexion' and that your skin will 'look good enough to eat' and I don't know how I feel about that claim but we'll go with it. I am excited to use this as it should give my skin more colour than it currently does. Yay!
As I have only really just got into make up I never really knew that much about make up brushes and all that jazz, but as I have said in a previous blog post I bought my first sets from eBay, but I really wanted a professional brush, so I went over to where all the brushes were and saw the Real Techniques brushes. I picked up the 'Blush Brush' to use for contouring and I am really excited to use it. Real Techniques brushes are supposed to be amazing and they claim to give a 'high definition result' and as these brushes are a collection made by two YouTubers who are make up artists, they do all their tutorials using these brushes. It's pink and what girl doesn't love a bit of pink so that's snazzy and it was £9.99, but it was also on the 3 for 2 offer, so that was all okay!
I have needed a pencil sharpener for agesss because the one I got from Avon ages ago has broken. I was going to get a cheap one, but my Mum said that I might as well buy a good one, so it doesn't break so easily, so I picked up the No 7 one and this was £4.95, which is quite pricey for a sharpener, but it should last me a while.
We also went into House Of Fraser mainly to find my younger sister a prom dress, but she wasn't with us, so `I took a detour to the Make Up section and my sister spotted a poster about a beauty confidential event. It will be held on Thursday 1st May at 6pm and will last 2 hours, so I will have to go there straight after work. It was only £5.00 per ticket and my Mum, Zoe and I will be going. On the ticket it says that you will 'discover this season's key beauty trends'. which sounds super exciting and I am so happy that Zoe asked about it, because I'm a shy idiot. The woman at the Clarins counter was super lovely and I know that most people are kind of scared to go up to Beauty counters as they can seem intimidating, but the people are only there to help you, so don't be scared. My nearest House Of Fraser is on Aylesbury, so I am super excited to go to this event. We are able to get our make up, hair and nails done, but seeing as I bite my nails (eww, gross habit I know), that won't be very possible for me. I will definitely write a review on how the event goes and will take pictures, if possible.
We also got given free samples of a Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster and a Daily Energizer Cream, so they will be exciting to try out!
I have been useless blogging at the moment, but I am getting back on track and have more ideas to blog about, so keep your eyes peeled!! :)

Favoruite Accessory - Frilly Socks
I love to accessorise all of my outfits, whether it be bracelets, necklaces, hair clips/bands and all that jazz. But one accessory I have been loving are socks! You're probably thinking 'what a weirdo', but I just think they can really finish off an outfit. I have many socks and my drawer is exploding but the main ones I always go to are the socks with the frills on the top. They used to be 'the thing' when I was in primary school and now I'm out of secondary school, they are back!!
There are so many colours available and I pretty much have every colour as they go with different outfits! I am really into pastels this Spring, so I have been prepared and bought pale yellows, blues, greens and pinks and probably more, but I have too many!
They go with pretty much every shoe, except formal heels, because that would kind of look weird, don't you think?!
For me, this accessory is pretty much like finishing off your make up look with lip stick. You can pretty much buy them from any shop these days, but I have purchased mine from Primark, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop and maybe River Island! But these shops do offers on them like 'Buy 3 for £7', which is pretty good and I think Primark sell theirs for £1.50 each?!
My Mum says that my style sometimes reminds her of the 1950s fashion, because I like to wear blouses with collars most of the time and this accessory just makes the outfit really cute and girly and I just really love them!
(The lighting was a bit weird in my room, because there was too much sunshine (but I'm not complaining), so there are a few shadows).
What's your favourite accessory for this Spring??! xx

Favourite Music - The Vamps
Old logo and old photo^
Debut Album Artwork^
I am sure most of you know who The Vamps are, but if not then I am sure you will find out throughout this blog post. Originally there were only three members in The Vamps, and they were formed in late 2011 - early 2012 and it started off with just James McVey, then Bradley Simpson joined, then Tristan Evans. They were a band for a year and occasionally in their videos they would ask Connor Ball to play bass for them and eventually they asked him to be a part of their band (magical moment). They all met through Facebook and YouTube, but James McVey was already managed by their current manager before they formed the band. You can find out more about them on their Wikipedia page. They have supported various artists on their tours and I have been lucky enough to see them at the McFly Tour in May 2013 and they were absolutely AMAZING! This was the first tour they had been a support act on. I then saw them on the Taylor Swift RED Tour in February 2014 and again they were awesome. Unfortunately I haven't been lucky enough to meet them in person yet, which sucks.
They have had three hit singles and they now have an album out and it's just super exciting! 'Can We Dance' was their first single and was released September 2013 and made it to number 2 in the UK. Their second single, 'Wildheart', was released January 2014 and made it to number 3 in the UK, and then their third single, Last Night' was released April 2014 and made it to number 2! They have literally done so well and their music just makes me so happy!!
They have now got an album out, 'Meet The Vamps', which was released yesterday (14th April, 2014). I have bought every single CD and DVD, which to some people might make me seem obsessed, but I am not, I promise. I just love their music. You can check them out on their YouTube channel and you can visit their website.
My personal favourite songs on the album are: 'Somebody To You', 'Lovestruck', 'She Was The One', 'Risk It All', 'High Hopes' and 'Wildheart'. But seriously the album is absolutely amazing and it has been on repeat since I got it and their music reminds me so much of McFly's earlier albums, which is great because I am a big fan of both bands.
CD Collection^
CD listing^
I first heard of the Vamps in the Autumn of 2012 because I knew that they were supporting McFly and I have loved them ever since! My favourite cover of theirs has to be '22' (by Taylor Swift) and 'Twist and Shout'.
Their merchandise isn't tacky at all, but I do hate the fact that they now have merch in Claire's, but oh well! I also think the wristband situation is tricky because everyone would love them, but that just can't happen, so selling the band 'Team' wristbands was a genius idea to make it fair enough for everyone! You can check out their merchandise here. And I own quite a bit of their merchandise, but it's really comfy. I HAVE NO SHAME! I have the Baseball top in navy which is Brads colour so has his surname on it and my Sister has the black one which is James' colour. I got the 'Meet The Vamps' poster free when I bought the CD and DVD in HMV, so yay!
Supporting Taylor Swift (Feb 2014)^
Supporting McFly (May 2013) bad quality photo^
I was even lucky enough to get a reply from them when they were performing at the O2, supporting Taylor Swift, which I just have to share with you all! It was a very magial moment! :P
So if you haven't heard of The Vamps, then go check them out, and if you already know them then I hope you love them as much as I do! As you can probably tell I am quite the fangirl, but I am not the crazy type! Thank You for reading!

Soap and Glory Skincare
I have bought many bath/shower products by Soap and Glory before but I have been recently intrigued to try out their skincare range. I have started out buying the things that I actually need because I have a tendency to find something that looks cute and buy it for the sake of buying something. NOT GOOD!
I have only seen other reviews on the range and most people have complained about the packing as it has been changed since it first launched. Personally, from what I have seen, this packaging looks so much more professional and like a skincare range. Whereas before it looked too much like the bath products.
I went into Boots the other day and needed a mascara and then just bought things that I probably didn't need. So I picked up Soap and Glory's 'Dr Spot' which is a 'breakout clearing gel'. I have heard people say that this is better than products that are properly advertised for Breakouts, like Freederm. It claims to 'Fight stubborn spots immediately after application', but I haven't actually used it yet so I can't tell you if it does that. I don't actually get breakouts on my skin, but I just felt like I needed to buy this just in case. It has clog clearing salicylic acid and ginger in it, if that helps, but ginger's cool. The one thing that really bugs me about this is the packaging though. There is a massive box, but when you open it up, the tube is tiny in comparison. Why would they do that, it's just annoying. But hey-ho, I'll get over it. However, my favourite colour is green and the writing is green, so that makes up for it, kind of (not really).
I then debated for a while on whether to get 'The Fab Pore' or 'No Clogs Allowed', but I chose 'The Fab Pore' in the end. I knew what I was buying because I researched it and read up on reviews. But in case you are expecting a peel from this product, which it states that it is a '2-in-1 pore purifying mask & peel', it is NOT a peel. You simply scrub this, mainly down your T-zone and leave it there for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it away. It is more of a creamy scrub. This has a very strong smell of I think mint or Aloe Vera or something along those lines, but it smells quite fresh. I have used this once already and it burns/tingles your face, like it's supposed to, but me being me, I got scared so took it off after 5 minutes. But it is so refreshing! It is a product aimed at people with oily/combination skin and mine is combination, so I am hoping this will help me in some way. You use it 1-3 times per week, depending on how much you want to use it. I think I will use it once or twice a week, dependant on whether or not I can be bothered. With products like this it's nice to feel the tingle because it makes you believe that it is doing something, even if it isn't. I have seen reviews saying this is better for people with more sensitive skin, if you were wondering!?
I really wanted to buy 'Sit Tight' as it supposed to help your thighs look firmer. I hate my thighs, but I think most people do. I never really like trying products like this, because they never work and I thought £16.50 was quite excessive for this. BUT, I was in Boots, causally, and my sister spotted that it got knocked down to £4.13??!!! WHAT?! So I took my chances and bought it. I wouldn't have done though if it was the proper price. It sates that it is 'stronger than ever!' with 'quadruple-action' so we shall see. It says that you can see results after just 4 weeks and I hate it wen products say this, because they are generally lying, but I haven't used it for 4 weeks yet, so I can't say if this is actually true or not.
The Fab Pore: £10 (saved 1/3, so was £6.66)
Dr Spot: £8.00 (saved 1/3, so was £5.33)
Sit Tight Intense XS: £16.50 (on sale, so was £4.13)

Soap and Glory Bath Products Review
If you have read any of my blog posts, I rave a lot about Soap and Glory products. I only really got into them last Christmas and the reason I love the products so much is the fact that they all smell amazing and I would advise you to go and check it all out. Another reason is the packaging; I love anything that looks vintage and I am a big sucker for packaging like this. I did get my first Soap and Glory Products from my Grandad last Christmas and ever since, I have just been loving them and since then I have just been stocking up on their bath products, goodness knows how long it will take me to get through all the ones I have.
In the set:
The first shower gel I got was the 'Clean On 'Me' one and it smells incredible! It's a 'creamy clarifying shower gel' which has 'natural mandarin peel extracts'. The quote on this bottle is "Cleanliness is essential when godliness is improbable" and I just love how they engage the consumer with their packaging! Soap and Glory products just have one of those scents that's just recognisable to them. Considering I started using it at Christmas time, I have only just finished the bottle, but I did warn everyone else to stay away from it because it was mine! :P They do come in large bottles which I think are 500ml, so there is A LOT of product in there so I am quite happy to keep spending the money on them. They do come up at £6.50 a bottle, but it is totally worth it.
There was also a body scrub and the caption on this is 'Love experts reveal sure-fire ways to find...The Scrub of your Life' and this just makes your skin super soft. I use this before I use the shower gel of my choice, because it makes me feel more refreshed to do it that way around!
My favourite product out of all the ones I own has to be 'The Righteous Butter' which has Shea butter and Aloe Vera, and I can't even explain the smell to you, but it is just divine and it really helps my skin, because I have quite dry legs and this just gives them the moisture they need. I have been using it since Christmas and have only just got to the halfway point, so it really has lasted me ages, and I will be sure to repurchase this or any of their other body butters because they are great.
I got the travel size 'Hand Food' which claims to be 'Fabulous' and hydrating with Shea butter, macadamia oil (whatever that may be) and MARSHAMLLOW?! I mean, what is not to like about that? it really does smell incredible and I will most definitely repurchase this but in the bigger size, of course. The only problem I have with this hand cream is that it is quite sticky and does take a while to sink into the skin, but I am not overly phased by it.
It also came with foot cream as well, which is called 'heel genius' and claims to be a 'miraculous moisturising mix'. This obviously smells like foot cream but with a Soap and Glory hint in it and it awesome, and there isn't much more to say. I did go out and repurchase the bigger size of this because it is coming up to summer and I would like my feet to look good for sandal weather.
A pink shower puff and hair turban came with the set as well and the shower puff really foams up the shower gel and is so much better than the ones I used to own. The hair turban just keeps all my hair out of the way whilst it is still really wet and it is really handy to have one instead of wrapping a huge towel around your head.,
I can't actually remember how much the set was altogether, maybe like £20-£30, which is great for the 7 products that I got in it.
Shower Gels:
Body Scrub:
Hand Food and Heel Genius:
Body Butter:
I went out a bought the 'Sugar Crush' one because I have heard so may people rave about this particular one and it smells DELICIOUS?! (can bath products even smell delicious, I don't even know?). Anyway the only smell I can relate it to is the alcoholic drink you may know as 'Snowball' which does have lime in it, so I am not crazy. This is an 'energy boosting, citrus conditioning, fresh and foamy body wash' with lime oil and kiwi juice water. It sounds so appealing! the colours on this bottle are so vibrant with the contrasting pinks and greens and that just draws me in even more, especially with green being my favourite colour. This is a product I would probably use more of in the summer, because it just smells so fruity and fresh. I somehow broke the pump on mine? (don't even ask), but it still works and the product still comes out as normal. These foam up so well without the shower puff by the way.
The next one I bought is the 'Rich and Foamous' shower gel. I love the titles on their products!! Now this shower gel smells like marzipan, but a lot less sweeter. It has an 'almond, oats and brown sugar scent!' which has already sold it to me. The packaging for this product is more subtle than the Sugar Crush one, as it is more of a lemony yellow and a baby pink, which is just a cute colour combination. Again this is a 500ml bottle, so was £6.50.
The packaging is very pink and girly and can look quite tacky to some people, but I think the smells and how the products actually work can make up for that.
They are all great products and make cute gifts for birthdays, Christmas or any special occasion really and I would recommend them all.
I am yet to try their skin care and make up products, but they are definitely on my list to get. I will be sure to go on a Soap and Glory haul soon, watch out for more reviews! (The three skincare products in the picture will be in a separate review).
Sugar Crush 500ml: £6.50
Rich and Foamous 500ml: £6.50
Clean On Me 500ml: £6.00
Body Scrub: £7.00
Hand Food mini: £2.50
Heel Genius mini: £2.50
Hair Turban: £7.50
Shower Puff: £3.50
Heel Genius: £5.50

First Ever Purchase from ... LUSH
I cannot believe I have never ever purchased anything from Lush before *insert gasp face*, but on Saturday I went into the shop and oh my gosh, it literally smells amazing in there and everything looks so tempting and cute, but I only bought two things. I was shopping with my younger sister, Natalie, and I think she hates shopping with me because she is more into fashion and I am more into beauty, but I still drag her around the shops with me.
One of the things that I have always loved about Lush is the way they promote the fact that they DO NOT test on animals and they seem so passionate about it as well and for me that makes me love their products even more.
So the first thing I picked up was a lip scrub in the flavour Popcorn and on the lid it says 'Be a blockbuster success and have them queuing for the sequel' and I can imagine you can all guess what that is implying *insert wink face*. The ingredients for this are as follows:
- Caster Sugar
- Organic Jojoba Oil
- Fine Sea Salt
- Polenta (type of cornmeal)
- Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- Popping Candy
- Flavour
The next thing I bought was a massage bar, because I have dry elbows and knees, so I was hoping this would help. Now I don't actually like to eat strawberries but I love anything with the smell of strawberries in it which is weird I know, but this is adorable. It is called Strawberry Feels, it is shaped and looks like a strawberry and is pink so it's super pretty.
The ingredients for this are as follows:
- Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter
- Fair Trade Shea Butter
- Fresh Strawberries
- Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- Glycerine
- Perfume
- Hibiscus Extract
- Olibanum Oil (frankincense)
- Bergamot Oil (citrus fruit)
- Geranium Oil (flower)
- Benzyl Alcohol
- Citronellol
- Limonene
- Linalool
- Colour 73360
I got all the ingredients from the Lush website, so you can check that out.
I also made a cheeky purchase from The Body Shop because I walked into the shop and there was a sale on and at the very front there were body butters and I have probably got an unhealthy addiction to these. I own way too many and I open one and then then another and I never seem to finish one. But this one was so adorable. I love baking gingerbread men at Christmas time and this had a gingerbread man on the lid. HOW COULD I RESIST?! It smells incredible and pretty much like ginger and when I saw that it had been knocked down to £5 from £13 I just had to buy it. It also says that it's a SPARKLE body butter and I have never purchased anything from the body shop before either, so this should be fun to use! Body butters last me a long time anyway, so I don't mind spending the money on them as long as they actually work.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lipstick Review
I have no idea when this product became available to buy in the UK (maybe last year some time?), but I have only just discovered them and I love them so much. Bourjois is one of the make up brands I really want to buy more products from as I hear so many people rave about them. The Colour Boost Lipsticks are the first products I have bought from Bourjois and they claim to be waterproof with SPF 15 which is always a good claim if you are planning a holiday in a hotter country than England. They are basically a glossy finish lipstick and it also claims to give you a 'bare lip sensation' and I have to disagree with this because it is still a gloss so if you gave long hair like me and it's windy, as per usual in the UK, then your hair can get stuck to your lips. Attractive, I know.
This is a mixture between a lipstick and a lip gloss which is awesome as they are so easy to apply, with a crayon look, and give you the best of both worlds with the lip products. It is a hydrating product and on the website it says that it lasts for 10 hours (comfort and hydration), which isn't entirely true. The lasting power is quite good for a lipstick/gloss combination product but you would have to re apply after a few hours, like the same with any other lip product.
I am not sure how many colours there are, but in Boots there are 6, in Superdrug there are 4 and on the Bourjois website there are 5 I believe, currently anyway. The colours are super for Spring and Summer and I would definitely recommend them as they are quite subtle as well as bold? That doesn't make any sense, but if you see them you may understand. I have the colours 'Orange Punch' number 03 which is an amazing orange colour and 'Peach On The Beach' number 04 which is such a beautiful baby pink colour. Plus that name is so adorable and just grabs you in even more!
The packaging is great as the colour on the outside is pretty much the colour of the product which is helpful, especially if you are in a rush. The silver bar at the bottom is where you twist it to get more product to the top, just in case you were wondering.
For £7.99 you can't really go wrong with these as they are amazing quality; a colour to suit every occasion and I love the fact that they aren't matte and they don't show up any rough parts on your lips,so if you suffer with dry lips, they are hydrating which will come in very useful.
If you haven't already got one of these then I suggest you go out and grab one or two or all of them because they are awesome and they look pretty and it's a lipstick/lipgloss combination! Fantabulous!! :)

Barney (My Pooch)
At his cutest (baby stages)
Blurry photo
My poochy turned 2 on Thursday and I just thought I would talk about him because he is just adorable. He is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a Bichon Frieze which means he is all fluffy like a marshmallow!! We have had 2 dogs in the past, Herbie sadly passed away 7 years ago and Snowy we had to put to sleep just over a year ago. I will do a blog post on those two soon. Me and my sisters have always bugged our parents about getting a dog and after about 4 yearsish of asking, they finally gave in! Yay! We found him on gumtree and I believe he had 3 sisters and 3 brothers and for me it wasn't that hard to choose, out of them, which one I wanted. He is mainly white, but he has brown patches on his back and has brown ears. To be honest he acts like a cat/lion and he is just overall a very stupid, but adorable dog!
When we got him I was on year 11 study leave and he was such a pain! He ripped the curtains to shreds, weed and pooped on the floor, so me being the lucky one had to clean that all up. It literally took us ages to toilet train him, but thankfully he is all good now. He still steals shoes and nicks things from peoples bags, the other day he stole a fiver from Zoe's handbag ... cheeky puppy! If you drop anything, it automatically becomes his. Me and Natalie once chased him around the garden for ages because he stole some tin foil and it was the funniest thing to witness!
Another blurry photo
His worst habit is barking for absolutely no reason at all. I can be sat there minding my own business and he will start barking and you'll play with him and nothing is ever good enough. I think he just likes the attention. He has a weird phobia of kids, bikes, buses, tractors, men, the outside world, pretty much everything, so don't take it personally if he hides from you or pees on your foot. He has done that a lot to me before and I don't really know why, but oh well, we can get past that.
He is such a baby and he doesn't care if you pick him up and cuddle him, he will happily trample all over you and use you as a window ledge to see what is happening outside and bark some more! As we speak he is just growling at me, but he is not a scary dog, he is just a pathetic whimp who is scared of everything!
He has got so many toys, which he has pretty much torn to pieces. He loves his blankets and his two beds. He has one in the kitchen and one at the top of the stairs, which is more like a house and I just had to buy it. We do have a gate at the top of the stairs so he isn't allowed in our rooms, but if someone (Natalie) leaves it open, he will sometimes waddle through the gate to see us.
His kitchen bed with his destroyed toys and my old slippers
He does this weird waddling thing with his butt when he gets all nervous and shy and he like tucks his tail under his butt and it wags and he will like waddle over to you and surrender. I personally think he is very protective of all of us, but maybe too over protective!
He has a weird addiction to tea, cheese, bananas and alcohol (we don't let him drink it of course, but he knows when you have it in your hand).
He has been know to take a few selfies in the past.
Barney was named after the dinosaur and he is just the cutest and most pathetic dog ever and I love him to pieces.
Getting stuck in with the Christmas decorating
Keeping Snowy (in the bed) comfort in his time of need
Hiding from Snowy because he was being a cheeky puppy
Having fun in the snow whilst rocking his very snazzy coat
Already ruining his new toy
Hope you enjoyed this post about my puppy, he is the most harmless dog ever and even if he has run away before (to the end of the close I live in) he is just the best! BEST DOG EVER! :) xx
